“Everything is affordable!” Fredo said to me, he was grinning like a schoolboy.l
I took a glance at their menu, indeed, he was right.
As we settled in, we were deliberating what to order- he wanted the RIO (1 whole Peri Peri Chicken with 4 side dishes), I thought it was too enormous for us, so we decided to get Sao Paolo- 1/2 chicken and 2 side dishes for him, and Perichon wraps- 6 pieces for me.
While waiting for our food, we looked around and smiled.
“It’s really nice t to think that Cebu’s dining choices are expanding.” Fredo started the conversation with this- his face still beaming. “We are no longer stuck to these old restaurants (mentioned a few restos in Cebu that we both agreed to be overrated), we already have choices- like this place.”
“I agree, but the challenge of this place is the market. You need a car to get here, no jeepneys- so the market is a bit limited.” I responded a matter of factly.
He made a gesture of analyzing my point and replied, “That’s why you need to blog this one.”
Uhmm, that made me think. But before I could arrange my thoughts, our food arrived. That was quick! And gosh, servings were huge!
Great value for money is even an understatement to describe the place, or yummy. (Yummy is so teenage!)
Peri Peri Charcoal Chicken and Sauce Bar has not only exceeded our expectation, but also captured our hearts.

This may antagonize my statement above, however, I could see a year from now- Mandaue will be the center of Cebu- a lot of constructions are on going- condos, hospitals, schools, establishments, hotels and many more. So I won’t be surprised that Peri Peri Charcoal Chicken will have to expand their place!
Prices range from Php 85.00 to Php 650.00. do I need to expound on this one?
I guess not.
Everything in their menu is a great value for your money and tummy. Trust me on this. 🙂
7. Great Customer Service
I love talking to staff- asking them what are the best sellers, who owns the place, any on-going promos- stuff like that. It impresses me when a staff knows what they are doing, knows about the food they are serving, knows how the place has started and knows the little details such operating hours, etc. It’s a breath of fresh air to see employees enjoying their job, welcoming guests warmly, and are able to answer little inquiries.
Kudos to Ken who was serving when we visited Peri Peri.

“Spit-fire” is definitely the most accurate adjective to decribe the chicken. The union of spices creates an undeniable long-lasting impression to your taste bud. thus, makes you crave for more!
